Updating of Master Plan
- Hoara Master Plan: Survey & Investigation and data collection for updation of Hoara Master Plan was allotted for Rs. 108.00 lakh in March, 2022 to WAPCOS. Inception report completed. Data collection continued. 30% work completed.

- Siang Dam Project - Handed over to NHPC
- Subansiri Dam Project- Handed over to NHPC

New Initiatives
- For capacity building in the Water Resources Management in Northeastern Region, training program are continuously going on at North Eastern Hydraulic and Allied Research Institute (NEHARI).
- Model studies for construction of 2(two) Nos. of Railway bridges across the River Brahmaputra entrusted by NF Railway is under progress at NEHARI.
- Scientific dissemination and improvement of water management practices of Local Tribes and indigenous people of NE region in association with NERIWALM.
- Non-Conventional and Bio Engineering Measures for Basin Management.
- Execution of Springshed Management Schemes are taken up on pilot basis in the Hill states of NE Region.
Special Studies
- Erosion and Flood problem in Barak Basin:
- NIT Silchar was entrusted to carry out the study on Flood and Erosion problem in Barak Valley. NIT Silchar submitted draft report.
- Studies on sedimentation on Dibang and Siang Basin :
- As per discussion and follow up action of 10th Meeting of High Powered Review Board of Brahmaputra Board, the study on the Sedimentation and Morphological studies of Dibang and Siang Basin has been entrusted to IIT-Guwahati. MoU signed with IIT Guwahati to carry out the work at Rs. 261.8 lakh. The scheduled period of completion is 3 years.
